PRESENT, PAST AND FUTURE
Rassendyll returns to Tyrol and pass there some time because he is week due to continuous adventures. He writes his brother about his health and time of returning. He meets with George and tells him about the incidents happened in Ruritania but Rassendyll does not pay attention to Michael, Rudolf, Flavia and De Mauban. He reaches home his sister-in-law does not ask him about his journey but she said,
“We’ve wasted a lot of time trying to find you.”
Rassendyll says that they should not worry about me I can save myself. Rose says,
“Sir Jacob, you know he’s got an embassy, he’s going to succeed Lord Topham at Strelsau.”
Rassendyll denies going Strelsau. His brother shows a picture of king Rudolf fifth in a newspaper. Once again Rassendyll sees thinks about the pretty moments of he has passed in Ruritania. Once in a year he goes to Dresden and there he meets with Fritz. They often pass their time with gossiping about Rudolf Elphberg and Princess Rudolf Rassendyll is heartily loves her and gives her a high esteem. He says,
“I loved the noblest lady in the world, the most gracious and beautiful, and that there was nothing in my love that made her fall short in her high duty.”
